Raquel Almazan was born in Madrid, Spain and is also of Costa Rican descent, raised in the U.S. Both of her parents were farmers and big dreamers, inspiring her eclectic career as (actor, writer, director, activist) and educator for social change. Awarded the Latinidad Award from the Kennedy Center, she is shaking up Latinx representation for a new generation with her performances and original content.
