She's known for her role as Nurse Mellie, the Laughing Nurse, in comedian Tig Notaro's series pilot One Mississippi, as well as, the role of Nurse Lydia in the true story film called Gosnell. She's booked roles in The Paperboy film starring Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Zac Efron, and singer Macy Gray, as well as a role in Pitch Perfect 2, but neither roles made the editor's cut. Lorrie enjoys playing the character roles and comedy comes easily for her, though she finds the gritty roles captivating. She is represented in Oklahoma by The Tabb Agency.
