He has also competed for Absolute Intense Wrestling in Ohio, C*4 Wrestling in Ontario, Canada, NWA New York in Rochester, and International Wrestling Cartel in western Pennsylvania, where he held the IWC World Heavyweight Title. At Wrestling Is Intense's September 15, 2013 show, the reunited GEKIDO interfered during the Darkness Crabtree-Jervis Cottonbelly main event, tearing down the promotion and "killing off" Crabtree. On May 2, 2014, CHIKARA posted the first of four videos titled "Rough Waters" on its YouTube channel, where it was revealed that Crabtree was Castle's "uncle," and that Castle had thus inherited a lot of money from him. The videos culminated in Castle reinventing himself as "Smooth Sailin'" Ashley Remington, with a gimmick of a wrestling wealthy yachtsman.
